MojLLC vs Neubase – US LLC Formation for Non-US Residents

mojllc vs neubase

MojLLC is one of the most popular services for LLC incorporation for people from Balkan countries, namely former Yugoslavia. Yet, some of their clients are now Neubase clients because of their lack of real support.

Starting a remote company in the USA is not hard. Many services can initiate the process and provide you with the initial incorporation service. What makes a difference is ‌trust, communication, and support throughout the process. Ongoing compliance support also matters.

With the right match by your side, you’ll feel more confident and stress-less while stepping into the global market. To determine what would be better for you – MojLLC or Neubase, we created this comparison guide.

First, we will start by explaining what every LLC needs throughout the lifecycle. Then we will compare what each of the companies provides.

What Every LLC Needs

There are several steps you’ll need to take to start a
US LLC, all of which are critical for your business to run smoothly. Here’s what you’ll need:

Incorporation

The initial stage of creating an LLC. This procedure entails registering your company with a US state; Delaware or Wyoming are popular choices because of their business-friendly laws. By granting your company legal status through incorporation, you may do business, sign contracts, and shield your personal assets from debts incurred by the company.

(By the way, our go-to option and recommendation is Wyoming, unless you are about to receive venture capital funding.)

EIN (Employer Identification Number)

EIN is the tax number of the company. For your company, an EIN is comparable to a Social Security number.

It is issued by the IRS and is necessary for creating a company bank account, recruiting staff, and filing taxes. You can’t do a lot without the EIN.

Bank Account

To properly manage your business funds, you must have a US bank account. It enables you to receive money from your work and to pay your vendors and contractors.

Also, a US bank account fosters confidence with clients and business associates who favor doing business with US-based companies. US clients prefer transmitting money with other US bank accounts.

BOI Filing (Beneficial Ownership Information)

Providing information about the beneficial owners who own or have control over your LLC is a requirement of the BOI filing process. It is necessary to comply with US rules about money laundering prevention and legal responsibility to implement this transparency requirement.

Annual Report

The majority of states require that LLCs submit an annual report that informs the state of the state of your company. Typically, this report contains details about your members, address, and business operations. Your LLC avoids penalties and maintains good standing by filing an annual report.

Learn more about the Annual report from our dedicated article.

Tax Return

Your LLC is required to submit a US tax return even if you are not resident in the US. Depending on how your LLC is taxed (as a corporation or a partnership, for example), the kind of return will vary. Ensuring accurate tax filing helps you stay out of trouble and save a lot of money in penalties.

Bookkeeping

Although not required by the law, it is highly recommended. You’ll need some financial statements for your tax forms, so you better have them ready for the tax season. Regular bookkeeping is a good practice to be prepared at all times. It is also highly recommended if you intend to sell your business.

US LLC formation with MojLLC

One option for non-US residents to start a US LLC is to use MojLLC. This service specializes in helping individuals establish their LLCs and offers support with filing tax returns for the first year. However, it’s clear from their website that they exclusively work with single-member LLCs, as they focus on filing Form 1120 and Form 5472, which are required for this type of entity.

They don’t serve multi-member LLCs.

MojLLC offers three pricing packages, ranging from $557 to $697 and $997. It’s worth noting that none of these packages include bookkeeping services, so you would need to manage your LLC’s ongoing financial records separately or hire another provider for this task. While MojLLC handles essential aspects of forming your company, their services are limited in scope, which may require you to seek additional support for comprehensive business management.

US LLC formation with Neubase

While MojLLC focuses on forming single-member LLCs and provides limited support, Neubase takes a comprehensive, client-centered approach tailored specifically for non-US entrepreneurs.

Neubase offers:

Customized Support for Non-US Residents

Neubase prioritizes the unique needs of non-US entrepreneurs, offering services that are culturally aware and aligned with the distinct requirements of overseas clients.

Affordable and Transparent Pricing

The Neubase pricing structure ensures you get the essential services you need without paying extra for unnecessary services.

Focus on Trust and Openness

In regions where trust in institutions is often low, Neubase stands out by prioritizing transparency and consistent support. Unlike MojLLC, which primarily assists with LLC formation and first-year tax filings, Neubase remains a dedicated partner throughout your business journey, helping you navigate challenges every step of the way.

Comprehensive Services

Neubase goes beyond basic LLC formation by offering a complete package of services designed to support your business long-term. Meaning that you’ll have guidance for compliance, practical assistance, and access to expert advice whenever needed.

A Partner for Your Success

With Neubase, you’re not just hiring a service provider—you’re gaining a partner who understands the specific challenges faced by non-US entrepreneurs. Our proactive approach, coupled with ongoing support, ensures your success as you establish and grow your US LLC.

MojLLC v. Neubase: Comparison

Let’s magnify the differences one by one.

mojllc vs neubase

We elaborated additionally on some important differences between the services.

  • Consultations:

MojLLC provides 45-180 minutes of consultations depending on the price you pay. Neubase provides unlimited consultations no matter which package you choose. Just to give you an idea, MojLLC will talk to you only for 45 minutes if you choose the basic package worth $557. Neubase will talk to you for an unlimited number of minutes if you pay the yearly fee of $590.

  • Help with a bank account and payment processor opening:

Both do it. Neubase does it even with the basic package, while MojLLC will do that only if you pay $697. We work with multiple neobanks and open an account where we believe you have the best chance to get accepted. Another important difference – they say they will help you open a US PayPal account, which is impossible at the moment for LLC owners without a US residential address. We don’t make unrealistic claims.

  • Bookkeeping:

MojLLC will provide you with an Excel sheet and guidelines on how to fill it out. Are you able to do your own bookkeeping, though? Neubase can provide you with bookkeeping services by a human, or if you want to do it yourself, we’ll recommend a robust free software that automates many things and is beginner-friendly. It is 2025, after all. Why use Excel sheets?

  • Tax filing:

MojLLC will give you examples of 1120 and 5472 forms if you pay $697 which you can use to fill the forms yourself. If you pay $997, they will hire a US CPA to fill out the forms (based on your bookkeeping and Excel skills) and file them. They don’t file Form 1065 and schedule K for multi-member LLCs. Neubase, on the other hand, files tax forms for both single-member and multi-member LLCs, with the basic package costing only $590 per year. Moreover, a US CPA files, signs, and stands behind the accuracy of the tax forms that we file.

  • Website review before bank account opening:

We both do it, but unlike MojLLC, we don’t ask for an additional fee.

  • Contract templates:

We both do it. When it comes to Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, we provide tailored documents for Managed Plus customers, not templates.

  • W8-BEN:

With Neubase W8-BEN and W9 are included with unlimited consultations with every package. MojLLC will provide you only with W8-BEN if you pay them the $997 package.

  • Consultations with tax advisors:

We can connect you with a Serbian tax advisor to explain to you how to get your money with the minimum tax burden (did they tell you that you need to report your company in Serbia?). We can connect you with a tax advisor from the US if you want to discuss some activities that may require paying taxes there. They will charge a fee.

  • Closing down the LLC:

MojLLC will help you close the company and will charge you for that. Neubase will close it on your behalf and pay for it. That’s our risk-free offer for you.

  • Customer support:

Some of the MojLLC clients are now Neubase clients. They say that MojLLC does not respond to their emails and calls. Maybe that’s because they provide limited consultations, while we provide unlimited consultations to everyone who becomes our client.

Why Choose Neubase?

If you’re looking for a service that’s tailored to your needs, offers long-term support, and values trust and transparency, Neubase is the clear choice.

Let us help you build a strong foundation for your business while navigating the complexities of US regulations with confidence.

We will work with you if you are about to start a company or if you have incorporated a company but want to change between MojLLC and Neubase.

Conclusion

When you are prepared to launch your US company remotely, picking the right partner might make all the difference. Although MojLLC and Neubase both offer incorporation pathways, their methods differ greatly.

For those looking for a simple and quick way to create a single-member LLC with minimal assistance with tax filing, MojLLC might be a good option. But because of its limited scope and lack of essential services like bookkeeping, you might have to look elsewhere for more assistance.

On the other hand, Neubase provides a thorough, customer-focused strategy designed especially to meet the demands of non-US business owners. Neubase offers everything you need to launch and expand your company with assurance, from specialized services and clear pricing to long-term advice and continuous support.
